Job Description:

ROLE

  • Process Engineer (based at Ahmedabad)

    • QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • B.E. / BTECH Chemical from a Reputed university/college
  • Exp. 4 to 8 years
  • Experience in Process/Manufacturing/Production

    • MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Development

  • Expertise in paints and coatings processes is preferred.
  • Expertise in cycle time evaluation, process design & development.
  • Prepare project business case, reviews with India Management & International management team.
  • Conduct PSI, PSSR, HAZOP and PHA, Risk Assessment studies for all the new products.
  • Conduct Process capability study, What-if analysis & Process variability study.
  • Conduct, collaborate and lead Process Qualifications and Change Control activities
  • Set process, cycle time, lead time, tack time evaluation, line balancing.
  • Develop Work Instruction /Process standards, process flow design, and Bill of Material and track BOM variance.
  • Work closely with finance team in understanding the prospective product cost.
  • Work closely with R&D for Scale up of new products and Technology transfers.
  • Hand on experience of Risk analysis, mitigation & monitoring effectiveness.
  • OEE, Process Flow Diagram, Process Failure Mode Effective analysis basic knowledge & hands on experience

    • Standardization

  • Documentation SOP for production & Impart training to the concerned team members and other employees.
  • Lead all the Process hazard management activities for the existing products.
  • Prepare Documents for Validation of process improvement and monitor adherence.
  • Process Standardization, Optimization and Compliances, Process Mapping, Application of SPC.
  • Build line Poka-yoke and process controls.
  • For Customer complaints and feedbacks – perform Root cause analysis and implement CAPA.

    • Improvements

  • Develop capacity planning, Manpower load analysis, Value Stream mapping, Warehouse calculation, Lean Layout for successful startup of project.
  • Track and Run Yield Improvement, OEE Improvement project.
  • Operational excellence through yield improvement, cycle time reduction & automation.
  • Undertake cycle time studies, method studies and work studies or other industrial engineering technique to improve quality, productivity and safety, etc.
  • Design and implement productivity improvement programs and systems (e.g. equipment, methods and procedures) for optimum utilization of equipment, workforce
  • Identify ways and alternatives in redesigning manufacturing procedures, layout and work flow to improve operation efficiency.

    • Cost Reduction & Value Engineering

  • Work closely with packaging team to packaging improvement & cost reduction, reducing setup changes, change over time etc.
  • Lead projects that can reduce waste, Material cost and improve Unit cost.
  • Identify opportunities that can leveraged for manufacturing new products with existing facility.

    • Other details:

  • Six sigma Green Belt certified (Desired not must).
  • Commissioning and Qualification Exp.

    Reporting

    The position is based at Ahmedabad and will directly report to Production/Plant Manager based at Ahmedabad
