**Job description Summary**

This role serves as a vital resource for Operations by utilizing process knowledge, technical expertise and operations experience to assist in correcting process or equipment issues and improving process performance and reliability. To utilize Plant resource/s with working knowledge of the process to coach and enhance the technical capabilities of the teams by sharing experiences, technical skills and knowledge.



**Key Responsibilities:**



+ Serve as a key role by applying technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems, and enable safe and efficient production of low cost, quality products.

+ Act as plant technical expert to perform advanced troubleshooting, improve operating discipline and lead chemical safety activities.

+ Maintain, own, and review KPIs/ trends to continuously optimize plant performance to improve yield and productivity, reduce waste generation.

+ Align with business manufacturing technology team to ensure the MET or technical process requirement is well understood and utilized.

+ Responsible for TEEP/OEE/TrakSYS implementation in plant and diagnose and document root causes of Asset Utilization losses in the facility. Drive implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions.

+ Coaches plant personnel to resolve technical issues, coordinate / lead required trainings.

+ Performs or assist in process related Root Cause or failure analysis.

+ Identifies areas for improvement and network with global technical resources.

+ Creates, leads and assists improvement teams, and performs work with Expertise on issues relating to their area of expertise. (ie work with reliability engineer to resolve mechanical reliability issues.)

+ Other tasks assigned by the production leader.



**Qualifications:**



+ Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalents

+ Working experience: 3 or more years production management experience in chemical industrial

+ Language: Proficiency in both Japanese and English.
