Process Engineer - Plastics Extrusion

Job Description Job Description Summary The Process Engineer identifies areas of opportunity, then develops, and implements solutions to equipment, systems and processing methods in plastic bottle manufacturing facilities. Areas of expertise are processing bottles through Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) machines, and improving the performance of the supporting equipment: mixers, grinders, leak-testers, cappers, palletizers, printers, labelers, flamers, conveyors, etc. Responsibilities Provide hands-on support to manufacturing team by managing and adjusting machine settings, recipe management, startup, troubleshooting and machine optimization Drive permanent solutions to improve throughput by reducing scrap and downtime Analyze processes and equipment for cost reduction and productivity improvement opportunities Research, specify and price new equipment for purchase Manage projects to install new machinery and rebuild legacy equipment Collect data to validate compliance with regulatory and...
