Responsibilities

Identify and implement improvements in quality, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.

Define objectives, develop test methods, collect samples, and evaluate results to ensure process reliability.

Serve as a technical resource for continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing output and reducing manufacturing costs.

Collaborate with operations to identify root causes of issues and implement permanent corrective actions.

Develop and execute projects aimed at maximizing production output by reducing downtime, waste, and raw material usage.

Manage small capital projects: define scope, provide economic justification, and prepare capital fund requests.

Participate in large capital project teams and lead cross-functional efforts to improve manufacturing and lab batch instructions.

Prepare and maintain process safety and operational documentation, including MOCs and pre-startup safety reviews.

Required skills and experience

3–5 years of experience in an industrial environment.

Automated chemical batch manufacturing experience preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively with technical, production, and maintenance teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge of DCS systems; Emerson DeltaV preferred.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Chemical Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
