Join to apply for the Process Operator role at Pace Farm .
The role was newly created to support operational coverage at our Kinglake West site. As a Process Operator you will play a critical hands‑on role in ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient operation of the pasteurising process. While supervisors oversee the area, you will operate independently and are relied upon to keep production moving smoothly, particularly during planned and unplanned leave coverage.
Responsibilities
- Operate the pasteuriser, monitoring product flow, temperatures and performance.
- Follow production schedules and adjust changeovers as required.
- Monitor the end‑to‑end process flow and identify issues before they escalated.
- Clean and maintain equipment, including silos, pumps and external surfaces.
- Connect pumps to automated cleaning systems and complete manual clean‑downs.
- Organise egg breaking activities to align with production needs.
- Work closely with supervisors to plan and execute daily production tasks.
- Ensure processes run smoothly so other team members can perform their roles.
- Accurately follow instructions, procedures and food safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Strong understanding of following process flows and instructions.
- Capable of learning multiple tasks and understanding consequences of errors.
- Ideally previous exposure to food processing, dairy or FMCG manufacturing.
- Confident using computers.
- Good time management and ability to set your own pace.
- Certificate III in Food Processing or similar qualification an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong general understanding of food manufacturing environments.
