JOIN OUR TEAM

FMR Investments is currently seeking an experienced residential Process Operator, based in the Goldfields region, to join our team at the Greenfields Gold Mill. This role plays a vital part in achieving our development and production targets.

SUMMARY OF ROLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Process Operator at our Gold Mill, you’ll play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of the processing plant. You will be responsible for monitoring and operating equipment across crushing, milling, leaching, and other circuits to help achieve production targets while maintaining strict safety and environmental standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Operating and monitoring crushing, milling, leaching and related plant equipment
  2. Adjusting process parameters to maintain stable production performance
  3. Conducting inspections, recording data, and completing shift logs/handovers
  4. Responding to alarms, equipment issues, and process deviations
  5. Assisting with troubleshooting, maintenance support, and shutdowns
  6. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment through housekeeping duties

General Duties

  1. Follow all safety standards, SOPs, and permit-to-work requirements
  2. Participate in toolbox talks, shift handovers, and reporting activities
  3. Assist maintenance and other departments as required
  4. Be flexible and willing to take on other plant or labouring duties as directed
  5. Maintain high personal standards of safety, teamwork, and performance
  6. Contribute to meeting daily production targets in line with operational plans

Equipment, Machinery, Systems & Tools

  1. Crushers, mills, CIL/CIP tanks, reagent systems
  2. Control room systems (SCADA, DCS)
  3. Mobile equipment (forklift, skid steer, telehandler if licensed)
  4. Radios, HCN monitors, and other plant safety systems
  5. Pronto or similar CMMS; Skytrust or similar safety reporting systems

Administrative Documentation & Reporting

  1. Complete daily checklists, shift logs, and inspection records
  2. Record and report process data, equipment faults, and breakdowns
  3. Submit hazard, incident, and near miss reports as required

Health, Safety, Compliance & Communication

  1. Adhere to all company policies, environmental standards, and site procedures (including the WHS Act & Regulations)
  2. Communicate effectively and complete all required documentation accurately and on time
  3. Conduct routine inspections to identify and control hazards

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Experience

Essential

  1. Experience in gold or metalliferous processing plants
  2. Familiarity with crushing, milling, leaching, or similar circuits
  3. Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts

Desirable

  1. Experience with SCADA, DCS, or plant automation systems
  2. Exposure to commissioning, shutdowns, or multi-area plant operations

Education/Qualifications/ Licenses

Essential

  1. Certificate III/IV in Process Plant Operations or equivalent experience
  2. Current National Police Clearance and ability to pass medicals/drug & alcohol screening
  3. Basic computer literacy for reporting and data entry

Desirable

  1. Confined Space, Working at Heights, or First Aid certificates
  2. Forklift, skid steer, telehandler, EWP, or loader licence (site dependent)

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  1. National Police Clearance issued within 3 months,
  2. Legal right to work in Australia
