Process Engineer (Molding/ Extrusion/ Validation/Equipment/ Maintenance/ Medical/ Manufacturing)

Our client is a global US manufacturer of medical devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support for Molding, extrusion, and assembly processes to meet yield and continuous supply of molded parts to the process.
  • Lead process validations, equipment troubleshooting and project management in Molding, Extrusion and Process.
  • To spear head in solving engineering issues arise from molding and extrusions at supplier site as well as in-house. Contributing in the areas where engineering efforts are needed to improve productivity, output and quality.
  • Establish Molding strategy to enhance molding and in-house extrusion capability.
  • Plan & execute total productive maintenance plan for Molds, Dies and equipment. Provide engineering expertise in achieving molding /extrusion process capability.
  • Manage resource, headcount and equipment utilization, equipment spend and control, spare parts usage and inventory management.
  • Accountable for molding & extrusion budget, capital expenditure and spending control.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • At least 5 years' experience in mold making, molding process and process troubleshooting, preferably in the medical-related industry experience in supplier and project management; as well as validation skills are preferred
  • Exposure in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is an added advantage
  • Action-oriented with a strong team spirit, drive for results as well as good influencing and problem-solving skills
