We seek a Procurement Director to lead strategic sourcing of PV modules and racking systems for our utility‑scale solar and battery energy storage projects.
The role combines commercial acumen, contractual expertise, technical understanding and relationship management to deliver competitive, reliable and sustainable supply outcomes.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with sustainability goals and project pipeline.
- Manage procurement from market intelligence through RFPs, contract negotiation and award.
- Lead supplier qualification and benchmarking for performance, cost, quality, risk, and innovation.
- Forecast sourcing needs and execute plans that support project delivery timelines.
- Apply a Total Cost of Ownership framework to optimise levelized cost of energy and maximise returns.
- Lead global supplier relationships and foster long‑term strategic partnerships.
- Act as key interface between technical, engineering, project, operations and finance teams.
- Promote innovation and collaboration with suppliers to enhance competitiveness and sustainability.
- Communicate strategies, risks and opportunities to senior stakeholders.
- Support global procurement initiatives and corporate sourcing objectives.
- Lead negotiation of complex commercial terms and Master Supply Agreements.
- Collaborate with legal, technical and project teams to structure risk‑balanced, bankable agreements.
- Maintain strong understanding of module and racking technologies and market trends.
- Support project feasibility and design optimisation through cost modelling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Legal or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 8–12 years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience in renewable energy equipment, emphasising modules and racking systems.
- Proven international strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, innovation partnerships and contract execution.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial contracts and managing MSAs.
- Strong knowledge of technical, operational, market and financial drivers for utility‑scale and storage projects.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, able to work independently across time zones.
- High analytical capability, commercial judgement and comfort with ambiguity.
- Excellent relationship management, influence and communication skills across executive and stakeholders.
- Availability to travel to supplier sites or project locations.
- Knowledge of US safe harbour, tariffs, FEOC/material assistance, UFLPA and tax equity financing requirements.
