- Be the expert on procurement needs across SPG Mexico sites, setting the procurement strategy, and identifying procurement requirements, priorities and risks
- Drive cost-effective procurement initiatives across Mexico plants to maximize procurement value in line with business objectives
- Deliver measurable savings through undertaking strategic tenders, supplier consolidation, contract renegotiation, and value engineering
- Lead and provide direction to plant procurement leads on tactical and operational level procurement activities required to achieve the defined strategic goals
- Regularly liaise with category managers within the central procurement team to ensure category strategies are implemented across Mexico
- Collaborate with plant managers to ensure purchasing planning and procurement initiatives are aligned with operational needs
