We are seeking a Procurement Engineer specialized in Heavy Wall Vessels to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sourcing and procurement within the heavy industrial sector, focusing on ensuring the quality and cost-effectiveness of materials and services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for heavy wall vessels.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure material specifications are met.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Manage supplier relationships and resolve any issues that may arise during the procurement process.
• Prepare and maintain procurement reports and documentation for internal stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field).
• 8-10 years of experience in procurement or sourcing within the heavy industrial sector, specifically with heavy wall vessels.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to assess supplier performance.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to heavy wall vessels.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
