Responsibilities

  • Analyse material requirements and prepare order plans for LTA projects.
  • Establish contact and evaluate suppliers for aerospace materials, request costings from customer ASL.
  • Obtain material/secondary process pricing on all project RFQs for Program Managers.
  • Start and manage an aerospace material costing database to ascertain best sources and alternative sources of each aerospace material grade.
  • Determine cost‑effective modes to ship materials.
  • Perform periodic supplier performance evaluation and assessment.
  • Close collaboration with Production Control to determine timeline for material requirements and delivery for production schedule.
  • Establish material contracts with suppliers to ensure supply continuity and maintain buffer inventory at supplier site.
