About the role
We’reseeking acouple of Procurement Managerstosupport the sourcing activity across indirect customer and technology categories at Transurban.These categories include both operating and capital expenditure on areas such as Hardware, Software, Professional Services, Banking, Customer Service, Debt Collections, People & Culture, Consulting and other Customer and Technology related services.

We have 2 opportunities to support Technology and Corporate/Customer - ideally based in Melb/Syd
Day-to-day, you will:
Understandtheobjectivesand desired outcomes of key stakeholder’s business units.
Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of category management plans for defined categories.
Lead the end-to-end procurementprocess,including stakeholder engagement, strategy development, baseline validation, tender management, supplier negotiations, contract finalisation, supplier, and contract management.
Negotiatecommercial terms to deliver best value solutions.
Consolidatethe supplier base through negotiatingappropriate commercialsupplier arrangements and/or strategic partnerships.
Support the implementation of strategic relationship management for nominated suppliers, including formal supplier performance reviews.
Develop strong relationships with internal teams.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind andtransferableskills and experiences, including:
Proven procurement experience in a similar industry or related spend categories.
Bachelor’s degreerequired(business or operational background preferred).
In depth sourcing experience (preferably indirect categories) and provenproficiencymanaging major spend categories.
Knowledge of the sourcing process and skilled with technology-based systems including spend analytics.
Experience running RFP/market engagements autonomously.
Impeccable ethics, both professionally and personally.
Track recordof contributing to evolution of supply chain processes, and/or continuous improvement of strategic sourcing and category management programs.
Strong analytical, business process analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
PowerPoint: Ability to create engaging and visually appealing presentations. Experience presenting data effectively through charts,graphsand infographics in a professional format.
Excel:Expertisein data entry and management, using formulas, pivot tables and data analysis tools, ability to create complex spreadsheets and perform data visualisation. Proven history of usingexpertiseto drive decision-making and strategy development in support of procurement activities.
Proven negotiation and contract management skills; including a strong understanding of business and legal terms and conditions.
Ability to engage the business,determinerequirements and deliver a strategy.
Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
Personable and a strong relationship builder.
