Procurement Manager

A leading IPP is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to support the delivery of utility‑scale renewable energy projects across Australia and Vertex Search is leading the process. The business has a strong track record in solar, wind and battery storage and continues to expand its Australian portfolio through both greenfield development and construction‑stage assets.

This role sits at the intersection of project delivery, commercial strategy and supplier management, and will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest contractual standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end procurement activities across renewable energy projects, including EPC, balance of plant, major equipment and services
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project schedules, cost targets and risk profiles
• Run competitive tender processes, including RFP preparation, bid evaluation and commercial negotiations
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts in close coordination with legal, engineering and project teams
• Support cost optimisation, supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with internal stakeholders across development, construction, finance and operations

Background and experience

• Proven experience in procurement or commercial management within energy, infrastructure or large‑scale construction projects
• Strong understanding of EPC contracting and major package procurement
• Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and manage complex supplier relationships
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment
• Experience in renewable energy projects is highly preferred
