A leading Defence organisation are looking for a proactive and organised Procurement Officer to join their procurement function in Stevenage.
Role: Procurement Officer
Duration: 6-month contract
Pay: Up to £27 p/hr (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)
Location: Stevenage
Working Pattern: Hybrid 1/2 days In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of customer repair requests and spares procurement, ensuring seamless communication, timely deliveries, and exceptional supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing electronic and manual requisitions.
Use of SAP to raise request for quotations (RFQ)
Creating Excel spread sheets to assess the data to aid supplier selection process.
Raising of purchase orders within SAP.
Progressing of orders to ensure on time delivery to the internal customers.
Purchase order amendment in line with changing delivery forecasts post order acknowledgement.
