This Position reports to:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.

This role is contributing to Process Automation Business in Bangalore Location.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Executes purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
• Designs and implements plans and effective strategies for local/global sourcing of products/materials/services to reach business targets.
• Supports the Procurement Manager in implementing effective local/global sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.
• Supports alignment between procurement activities and division strategy.
• Applies and implements procurement standards, tools, and processes in their own area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Tracks the procurement processes and activities and create and updates reports, as required, following the ABB standards.

Qualification for the role :

• BE / B-Tech with 3-5 years of exp in SCM P&L activities, SAP back ground.
• Lead RFQs, RFPs, and contract negotiations for DCS systems and automation parts.
• Strong understanding of PLC systems, industrial automation, and control engineering
• Secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality and reliability standards.
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand project technical specifications and requirements.
• Ensure sourced products meet technical standards
• Require knowledge on techno-commercial aspects of process automation.
• Experience on sourcing for automation projects having exposure in DCS, PLC, Network components and IT Hardware and software
• Expertise in tender management and execution of process automation projects.
