About the Role

We're looking for a Product Designer to own design end-to-end for Astra. You'll be the first in-house designer, transitioning from agency support to building a robust internal design function. This is a high-ownership role where you'll shape the product experience from research through to polished interfaces.

What You'll Do

• Own the full design lifecycle: user research, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready designs
• Build and maintain a scalable design system for Astra
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering to define requirements and translate them into intuitive workflows
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions
• Create interactive prototypes to communicate and test ideas quickly
• Work with frontend engineers to ensure design fidelity in implementation

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process, not just visual polish
• Experience with B2B or enterprise SaaS products—you understand complex workflows and data-dense interfaces
• Proficiency in Figma
• Experience with prototyping tools and conducting user research
• Comfortable being the sole designer and making independent judgment calls
• Excellent communication skills—you can articulate design rationale to non-designers

Nice to Have

• Experience with procurement, finance, or operations software
• Experience establishing design systems from scratch
• Background working in early-stage or high-growth product teams
