The Opportunity


We're looking for a senior, hands-on Product Development & Technical Manager to lead our Flavour Enhancers portfolio (dressings, sauces, mayonnaise and vinegar).


This is an end-to-end ownership role — from bench to factory to market — where you'll translate strategy into technically robust, commercially viable products that perform at scale. You'll play a key role in lifting technical standards, embedding capability, and driving smarter, faster ways of working across R&D.


What You Will Do

  • Own the Flavour Enhancers portfolio across innovation, product and process development, and technical improvement.

  • Lead bench and factory trials, designing and validating robust formulations and processes that scale and perform in market.

  • Set and embed best-practice formulation and process standards, turning learnings into lasting capability.

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement, improving speed-to-market, product robustness and technical knowledge.

  • Partner closely with Quality, Operations, Regulatory, Packaging, Marketing, Sales and suppliers to deliver outcomes.

  • Apply structured problem-solving to resolve issues, manage risk and prioritise competing demands effectively.

    Technical & Commercial

  • Deep product development experience in liquid grocery / emulsion-based categories (dressings, sauces, mayonnaise, condiments).

  • Strong commercial acumen, balancing customer, operational and financial needs in technical decisions.

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and influence cross-functional stakeholders.

    • Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering or similar.

  • 7+ years' experience in FMCG product development or technical roles with category ownership.
