Responsibilities:

Marketplace Strategy & Partnership Development:

  • Map the AI data landscape : Develop a comprehensive view of what data types frontier model builders need most and where market gaps exist that we can uniquely fill
  • Integrate our existing capabilities : Orchestrate synthetic data pipelines, expert-curated data from GenAI business line, generalist annotations from search/ads workflows, and physical-world data from automotive pipelines into a unified marketplace offering
  • Unlock new data sources : Forge partnerships to access premium content behind paywalls and enterprise datasets that haven't been available to AI builders
  • Onboard external data producers : Identify organizations generating valuable datasets that model builders need but lack infrastructure to monetize on their own
  • Structure win-win deals : Design partnership models and monetization frameworks that work for data producers, AI companies, and our platform
  • Build the technical integration : Define how diverse data sources connect to our marketplace infrastructure while maintaining quality standards and provenance tracking
  • Execute the vision : Transform fragmented data capabilities into a coherent marketplace that establishes TELUS Digital AI as the central hub where AI builders source training data

Product Strategy & Roadmap Definition:

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and phased roadmap for the AI Data Marketplace - including data discovery, licensing models, quality verification, and integration capabilities
  • Prioritize features ruthlessly based on marketplace impact: enabling seamless data discovery, streamlining partnership onboarding, building trust through provenance tracking, and creating transparent monetization mechanisms
  • Develop clear, actionable product requirements, user stories, and specifications that effectively bridge operational needs with technical solutions.

Execution & Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Drive the product development lifecycle from ideation through requirements, design oversight, launch, and iteration.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Business Development, Legal, Finance, and existing product lines to ensure marketplace velocity and strategic alignment.
  • Champion a data-driven approach, using marketplace metrics (supply/demand balance, deal velocity, data quality signals) to continuously refine product strategy and partnership models

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (8-10+ years) in Product Management, with a clear track record of launching and iterating on complex systems, operational tools, or data platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to deeply understand complex operational workflows first-hand and translate those insights into impactful product requirements.
  • Prior experience in B2B, partnerships, or growth product management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly proficient in using data (quantitative and qualitative) to diagnose problems and guide decisions.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills – capable of building strong relationships and driving alignment across diverse teams (ops, technical, business).
  • Experience defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps, particularly in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments.
