Job Summary:

Our client in Chicago, IL is looking for a Product Engineer Electrical / Electronic. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

The Low Voltage (LV) EDS Design and Release (D&R) Engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of the wiring harnesses under her/his responsibility. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design wiring harnesses complying with program cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets. 
  • Utilize best design efficiencies for manufacturing, assembly, and failure mode avoidance practices. 
  • Drive commonality of designs across multiple programs and platforms. 
  • Review pre-production vehicles for potential campaign items and assess warranty impact.
  • Participate in vehicle builds and lead resolution of issues (AIMS).
  • Lead resolution of warranty (GSAR) issues with PVT team and Supplier.
