Overview
This role supports the delivery of accurate off-system investment calculations for internal teams, external clients and regulatory bodies.
You’ll work closely with Operations and IT, complete off-system calculations, help maintain and improve calculators, and build your knowledge as a subject matter expert in investment-related processes and systems.

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities
Strategic Focus
- Support quality and improvement initiatives across Investments and Product Integrity
- Collaborate with team members to solve problems and share knowledge
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
Operational Management
- Complete off-system investment calculations to support member enquiries and complaint resolutions
- Work with Product Integrity Analysts to manage calculation requests within agreed SLAs and fund rules
- Write and run SQL queries to extract data for analysis and calculations
- Assist with investigating calculation enquiries and reviewing peer calculations
- Support projects involving investment changes, system updates and new fund transitions
- Assist with reporting and analysis as required
Governance & Risk
- Follow Off-System Calculations policy and support oversight of calculators
- Deliver accurate calculations to ensure positive outcomes for members, clients and Trustees
- Comply with risk, legislative, policy and quality requirements, including OH&S
Experience & Personal Attributes
- Strong numerical skills with confidence using Excel
- Working knowledge of Excel (advanced skills an advantage)
- Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge, or willingness to learn
- Background or interest in Finance, Accounting, IT or Data
- Interest in improving processes through practical technical solutions
- Degree in IT, Accounting, Finance or a related field (or near completion)
- 1–3 years’ experience in Financial Services or a related industry
- Exposure to Superannuation or Pension environments desirable but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and customer-focused mindset
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- ASFA qualification or equivalent well regarded, but not required
