Product Manager, MSBU Professional

Our Team

The Consumer & Commercial Solutions division, specifically the Micro Solutions Business Unit, is at the forefront of providing leading connector solutions for the consumer electronics market. The Micro Connectors team is diverse and multi-national, with colleagues in Japan, China, Korea, and India. This team is known for being one of the most energetic, active, and motivated teams within Molex.

What You Will Do

Product Manager (PM) will report directly to the product group manager and work within the levels of authority established and the products/projects assigned. Supervision and guidance will be interactive and provided as needed. The PM will be accountable for the following numeric metrics:

- Revenue

- Profitability, NPV, IRR

- Opportunity Pipeline value

- Breadth of accountability:

- Global accountability for product development/project.

The job is tactical as well as strategic. Routinely establishing pricing and responding to technical requests while strategically evaluating opportunities.

Responsible for developing products and their strategies and profitability. This includes:

oWorking with Sales team to define the customer’s needs to develop the products.

oPlanning financial metrics and ensuring they meet project financial targets.

Initiate projects, plan high-level schedules & milestones, and lead the project while aligning internal stakeholders.

Supporting Sales team as the window of the division.

Responsible for meeting both revenue and profit targets for assigned new product families.

  • The product manager is directly responsible for developing and driving the business pipeline globally. This includes:
  • Developing and executing strategies and projects of product families.
  • Handling new product inquiries and executing with internal stakeholders.
  • Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) 

  • Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years’ combined experience in electronic component/device manufacturing industry.
  • Fluent or understanding detailed engineering topics in Japanese and business English, both written and verbal.
  • Eager to learn attitude towards both engineering and financial areas.
  • Taking initiative in leading projects and solving problems.
  • Strong organizational skills to anticipate, plan, prioritize, and self-monitor workload. Interpersonal skills to effectively work with co-workers and external contacts to respond positively to situations.

  • Presentation skills that show the ability to prepare and deliver concise and effective presentations to customers and Molex personnel.
  • Must be sensitive to the customer’s needs and show a sense of urgency to address customer issues.
  • Able to travel both internationally and domestically
