Job Description

The Product Management function plays a pivotal role at the intersection of fan technology, customer needs, and business strategy. As the Product Manager – Fans , you will be responsible for driving the product vision, strategy, development, and lifecycle management of the Fans portfolio. This role requires deep technical understanding, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and competitive fan products to the market.


You will collaborate with BU leadership, Technology, Purchase, Sales, and Business Development teams to build differentiated fan solutions, manage the product lifecycle end-to-end, and ensure successful commercialization. The role will also demand customer interactions for product approvals, understanding requirements, and developing a strong integrator and channel ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Understand current and emerging trends in the fans market and develop the product strategy accordingly.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap aligned with business goals and market needs.
  • Conduct market, competitor, and customer analysis to identify product opportunities and white spaces.

Product Development & Execution

  • Translate market requirements into clear product specifications.
  • Work closely with R&D/Technology, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful product development.
  • Ensure product features are correctly scoped, designed, validated, and launched on time.
  • Drive prototype development, field trials, and customer validations.

Product Launch & Lifecycle Management

  • Lead product launches with coordinated efforts across marketing, sales, and technical teams.
  • Develop product positioning, messaging, communication collaterals, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ensure ongoing product support, enhancements, and lifecycle management for the existing portfolio.

Commercial Responsibilities

  • Own top-line and bottom-line performance for the Fans segment.
  • Manage pricing strategies, costing inputs, and margin improvement plans.
  • Provide innovative solutions for specific projects and business opportunities.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work with Sales and Business Development teams to drive product adoption and market penetration.
  • Conduct product presentations for architects, consultants, channel partners, and end customers to articulate product differentiation.
  • Provide training to sales teams, distributors, and other stakeholders on product features and positioning.

Monitoring & Governance

  • Track execution against product roadmap, project timelines, and business commitments.
  • Generate insights from market feedback, product performance, and customer inputs to shape future product development.


Skills & Experience Required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • MBA preferred.

Experience

  • 6–10 years of domain experience in Fans or related appliance categories .
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Product Management and Sales within consumer durable or electrical products.

Technical & Business Competencies

  • Strong understanding of fan technologies, components, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of product management tools, methods, and best practices.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and trends in the fans industry.
  • Ability to formulate and execute profitable product strategies.
  • Solid analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
