About the Role:

Product Manager, Technical Data Operations is responsible for envisioning, delivering, and optimizing data-driven products and solutions that support critical business functions. This role combines strategy, technical expertise, and leadership to guide cross-functional teams in building scalable data operations platforms and services. The Product Manager, Technical owns the product lifecycle from ideation through deployment and ongoing improvement, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.

The Data Operations team culture is collaborative and cross-functional, with high individual accountability, technical depth at all levels, and influence-driven leadership. Success is measured by the impact, reliability, and scalability of delivered data products and the ability to drive continuous improvement across the Data Operations team.

What Youll Do:

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Data Operations platforms and services
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder interviews to identify opportunities and inform product direction
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to translate requirements into actionable user stories and technical specifications
• Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact
• Drive execution of product initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and operational stability
• Monitor product performance, gather feedback, and iterate to improve reliability, scalability, and user experience
• Present new ideas, frameworks, and approaches to enhance data operations and drive innovation
• Support deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of data products and services
• Foster a collaborative, cross-functional environment with open communication and mutual support
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability, making independent decisions that drive positive outcomes
• Adapt to ambiguity and balance speed of delivery with building robust, scalable solutions

What Youll Bring:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, or related roles in data operations or analytics
• Ability to manage work across multiple initiatives with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and adapt to changing priorities
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams
• Strong understanding of data architectures, cloud platforms, and data engineering best practices
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex technical products
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across data and software teams, resolving challenges and driving outcomes
• Proven track record of supporting teammates and contributing beyond technical work, including mentoring and supporting team members of varying experience levels

• Comfortable handling ambiguity and incomplete requirements in fast-moving environments
• Experience improving engineering processes and team performance

Must Have Skills:

• Proven experience defining and delivering data products or platforms in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and actionable plans
• Familiarity with data engineering tools, pipelines, and modern programming languages (Python, SQL, Java)
• Experience with agile or iterative development methodologies
• Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data for decision-making
• Ability to ensure solutions scale operationally and are maintainable by others

Nice to Have:

• Experience with streaming and data processing technologies such as Spark and Kafka
• Experience building and operating microservices architectures
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices
• Experience working in agile or iterative development environments
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance practices
