Product Manager, Technical Privacy (L08)
About the Role:
Product Manager, Technical Privacy is responsible for envisioning, delivering, and optimizing Privacy compliance products and technology platforms that support critical business functions. This role combines strategy, technical expertise, and leadership to guide cross-functional teams in building scalable privacy technology solutions. The Product Manager, Technical owns the product lifecycle from ideation through launch and ongoing improvement, ensuring alignment with business, legal objectives and customer needs. The privacy team culture is collaborative and cross-functional, with high individual accountability, technical depth at all levels, and influence-driven leadership. Success is measured by the impact, reliability, and scalability of delivered features and the ability to drive continuous improvement across the Privacy portfolio.
What Youll Do:
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Privacy products and platforms
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder interviews to identify opportunities and inform product direction
- Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into actionable capabilities, features, user stories and technical specifications
- Prioritize capabilities, features and enhancements based on business value, compliance, technical feasibility, and customer impact
- Drive execution of product initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, operational stability and SLAs.
- Monitor product performance, gather feedback, and improve reliability, scalability, and user experience
- Present new ideas, frameworks, and approaches to enhance data operations and drive innovation
- Support deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of data products and services
- Foster a collaborative, cross-functional environment with open communication and mutual support
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability, making independent decisions that drive positive outcomes
- Adapt to ambiguity and balance speed of delivery with building robust, scalable solutions
- Champion design and systems thinking, quality, and delivery excellence
What Youll Bring:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7-10 years of experience in technical product management delivering complex projects and launching features
- Ability to manage work across multiple initiatives with strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and adapt to changing priorities
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams
- Strong knowledge of UI/UX, APIs, swaggers, databases, SQL, application testing, solutions architecture, cloud platforms
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex technical products
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams, resolving challenges and driving outcomes
- Strong experience working in Agile, Scrum, SAFe methodologies
- Strong experience in managing, prioritizing Product backlog, Features, User Stories
- Strong experience in executing Product delivery in increments (sprints)
- Proven track record of supporting teammates and contributing beyond technical work, including mentoring and supporting team members of varying experience levels
- Strong sense of ownership; proactively drives initiatives and follows through on commitments
- Comfortable handling ambiguity and incomplete requirements in fast-moving environments
- Experience improving engineering processes and team performance
Must Have Skills:
- Proven experience defining and delivering product roadmaps and features
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications, solutions and actionable plans
- Familiarity with SDLC, APIs, Swaggers, databases, application testing, solutions architecture, cloud platforms
- Experience with SQL and data analysis.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, App Dynamics
- Experience and Privacy domain knowledge in launching Privacy & Compliance Products to support regulations such as CCPA, CPRA, GDPR , TCPA etc.
- Experience with agile or iterative development methodologies
- Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data for decision-making
- Strong experience in delivering automation solutions
Nice to Have:
- Software development experience
- Experience with Telecom domain background
- Certifications in SAFe Agile, and IAPP are highly preferred
