Job Title: Product Owner – Loan Management System (LMS)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Owner – LMS with strong expertise in loan servicing systems, capable of owning the functional roadmap, backlog, and delivery alignment for a Loan Management System. The role requires a blend of banking domain depth, product thinking, and agile execution, working closely with engineering, architecture, QA, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product backlog for LMS modules covering:
  • Loan lifecycle management
  • Repayments, schedules, accruals, prepayments, restructuring
  • Charges, fees, penalties
  • Accounting definitions and GL mappings
  • Loan events and servicing rules
  • Support Integration requirements with Core Banking / Accounting Systems
  • Act as the single point of accountability for LMS functional scope and priorities.
  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into:
  • User stories
  • Functional specifications
  • Acceptance criteria
  • Prioritize backlog items based on business value, risk, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure stories are clear, testable, and implementation-ready for development teams.
  • Continuously groom and refine the backlog with stakeholders
  • Act as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring functional intent is correctly implemented.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC and governance processes


Skills & Competencies

  • 10 plus years of experience in banking / financial services with strong exposure to Loan Management Systems.
  • Hands-on experience as a Product Owner / Business Analyst / Functional Lead for LMS or loan servicing platforms.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Loan lifecycle and servicing processes
  • Banking products and operations
  • Accounting and financial flows in lending
  • Exposure to multiple loan products (Retail, Corporate, MSME, Islamic lending, etc.).
  • Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documents.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to create and review:
  • Functional Requirement Documents (FRD)
  • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  • Process flows and business rules

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Finance, or related discipline
  • (B.E. / B.Tech / B.Com / BBA / equivalent)
  • MBA / PGDM (Finance / Operations / Systems) is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Strong grounding in banking, finance, and business processes.
