About the Role:

We are looking for a Product Owner to own the Agile team backlog to ensure alignment with product priorities and development efficiency for Workday Integrations, which is an essential part of data flowing from source system (Workday) to downstream systems (e.g., UKG, OnPoint etc.). This role involves defining, refining, and prioritizing user stories while maintaining the technical integrity of features for one or two Agile teams. Success is measured by the quality and readiness of user stories, sprint velocity, and effective coordination of dependencies. The work directly impacts the delivery of product features and the overall productivity of Agile teams within the organization.


What You will Do:

Business and Technical Execution:

  • Build and prioritize the Agile team backlog to maintain two iterations of ready user stories and related work items, prioritizing based on business value, technical dependencies, and risk to support consistent and predictable delivery.
  • Partner with Agile teams and stakeholders in the U.S. and India to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and test conditions that ensure Workday Recruiting and Talent features are scalable, consistent, and aligned with product governance and quality standards.
  • Evaluate integration requests for feasibility, scalability, reusability, and alignment to platform standards.
  • Validate complete user stories to ensure it meets acceptance criteria, quality expectations, and readiness for deployment.
  • Align with peer Product Owners during planning increments and sprint planning to manage dependencies and ensure smooth delivery of Workday Integrations.
  • Ensure the Agile team has clear documentation of system interfaces, data flows, and support processes.
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Relationship & People, Professional Development:

  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers/users
  • Work collaboratively across technical and teams
  • Develop Platform specific training material/user manuals and educate stakeholders
  • Develop Agile training material and educate stakeholders
  • Contribute to Product Owner Community of Practice (COP) and Scrum Master Community of Practice


What You will Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree (required).
  • 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant Product Management, Product Owner, Business Analyst, and System Analyst or Architecture/Software Engineer experience in an agile software product development environment.
  • 2 years experience in delivering software with Agile Scrum methodologies and other commonly used tools.
  • Experience with Workday Core HCM, Workday EIB, Workday Studio, and Workday Web Services.


Product Management:

  • Experience with Jira and Airtable


Technical Writing:

  • Strong requirements elicitation, and proven writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences.


Agile Project Management:

  • Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools.

User Experience:

  • Experience with successive elaboration and ability to develop Initiatives, Features and User Stories that the DevOps teams can ingest.


Communication:

  • Proven ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with Leadership, technical and non-technical audiences while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence.


Business Analytics:

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify/analyze/synthesize product use data.


Must Have Skills:

  • Requirements and Backlog management, data-informed decision making, leadership soft skills, Workday Core HCM(1 Year) and integrations background.


Nice To Have:

  • Experience with Jira, API Swaggers and L1/L2/L3 diagrams.
