The Role

As our Product Manager/Owner, you will sit at the intersection of AI platform development and sustainable packaging innovation. You will own the product lifecycle end-to-end, from discovery and validation to delivery and adoption, ensuring our AI-driven platform delivers measurable business and sustainability impact for customers in the packaging value chain (material suppliers, converters, brands etc.)

You will report directly to our Co-founder and will work closely with Engineering, Data, Design, and Go-to-Market teams, translating real customer problems into scalable, high-impact product solutions.
This role requires end-to-end (design and execution) management and ownership of Product cycle. Further details below. 
We are open to remote candidates within Europe (+/- 2hrs CET), with a preference for Spanish or German based candidates who can be directly employed. Any other locations would be managed through Employer of Record services. 

Who you are

  • Experience: 3–6+ years in a Product Owner or Product Manager role, preferably in B2B SaaS or R&D-oriented platforms. Early stage start up experience is a must.

  • Discovery-Led Mindset: Proven experience leading user research, problem framing, and solution validation with external stakeholders.

  • Technical & AI Literacy: Comfortable discussing software terminology, data based product ideas, and AI concepts (e.g., model, data and agent-specific technical concepts) without needing to code.

  • Sustainability Motivation: Strong interest in circular economy, materials science, or sustainability-driven innovation

  • Collaboration & Communication: Able to align diverse stakeholders and translate complex technical topics into clear product decisions.

  • Language: Professional fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

  • Tools: Experience with Agile and discovery tools (Jira, Confluence, Figma, Miro, or equivalents).

1. Product Discovery & Strategy

  • Customer & Problem Discovery: Lead continuous discovery with external stakeholders (brand owners, R&D, manufacturing, sustainability teams) to deeply understand workflows, constraints, and decision-making processes.

  • AI Value Identification:Identify and prioritise opportunities where data, AI, and software can deliver the highest ROI, balancing customer impact, feasibility, and scalability.

  • Hypothesis-Driven Validation: Partner with Engineering to test assumptions through prototypes, experiments, and MVPs before committing significant development effort.

  • Outcome Ownership: Define and track product success metrics, focusing on:

    • User adoption and engagement

    • Product-level data quality and reliability signals

    • Quantifiable ROI and environmental impact improvements for customers

  • Strategic Alignment: Contribute to product vision and roadmap discussions, ensuring alignment with company strategy and customer value.

2. Product Execution & Delivery

  • Roadmap & Backlog Ownership: Develop the product roadmap and translate it into a clear, prioritised backlog in collaboration with Engineering and Data leads.

  • Decision-Making & Trade-offs: Manage scope, timelines, and trade-offs, clearly communicating risks, dependencies, and options to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as the primary product contact for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure consistent expectations around releases and capabilities.

  • Enablement & Adoption: Partner with Customer Success/Sales to ensure customers have access to regular updates, customized training and support to adopt the platform.

3. Technical Feasibility & Engineering Alignment

  • Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, and Data Leads during discovery and backlog refinement to assess the feasibility of proposed AI features, ensuring key assumptions and constraints are surfaced early.

  • Align product backlog priorities with technical debt and platform needs in partnership with Engineering Leads, making trade-offs between new functionality and system maintenance.

  • Support coordinated releases by aligning backlog readiness, documentation, and stakeholder communication across teams.
