A growing Japanese machinery company in the Netherlands is currently recruiting for a Product Specialist for their office in Lelystad.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the product marketing and sales teams with in-depth technical knowledge, market insights, and structured product data.
The ideal candidate should have a technical background, analytical skills, and fluency in Dutch and English.
TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:30 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: €3,000-€6,000 START: ASAP
LOCATION: Lelystad, Netherlands
Product Specialist Main Responsibilities:
●Act as the first point of contact for product-related questions from internal teams, dealers, and sometimes customers
● Combine technical background with commercial feeling to build knowledge about the machine portfolio, competition, and customer needs
● Support the product marketing team with technical input for datasheets, brochures, product comparisons, and digital content
● Conduct market and competitor analyses based on specifications, customer cases, and price points
● Translate customer questions into technical recommendations and support product marketing and sales team
● Participate in demonstrations, (dealer) training, and international trade fairs in collaboration with sales, product, and brand marketing
● Maintain close contacts with engineering, R&D, and sales teams
Product Specialist Ideal Candidate:
● At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in a technical, commercial or support role within a B2B environment
● Technical MBO / HBO background in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive or Industrial Engineering
● Analytical skills with attention to detail
● Ability to convey technical information clearly
● Fluency in Dutch and English
● Knowledge of additional European languages such as German, French, or Italian would be advantageous
● You are eager to learn, organized and able to independently shape your role within an international team.
