    The Opportunity:

    Komatsu has the opportunity for a Product Support Advisor to assist in our Rio Tinto contract.

    The role will be managing the fleet health of all Komatsu equipment by way of providing on-the-job technical assistance for the maintenance personnel in fault finding including major components change outs, maintenance practices & operating practices. Your job is to assist personnel to resolve parts sourcing issues and resolve technical information sourcing issues.

    These roles are available on an 8/6 day shift only roster at various sites and relief roles.

    Key responsibilities:

  • Understanding and reporting on the daily downtime of machine fleet at site
  • Involvement in repair process on local dealer machinery
  • Assist customer in administration of Komatsu warranty process
  • Understanding and forecasting the scheduled downtime
  • Weekly site updates for customer and Komatsu management
  • Optimisation of machines
  • Machine systems monitoring

    • What we are looking for:

  • Trade Qualification in mechanical or electrical with exposure to heavy mobile equipment 
  • Have sound knowledge and experience of Komatsu equipment
  • Mining industry experience
  • Self-motivated with good initiative as well as strong team player attitude with drive and professionalism to excel
  • Always have a high standard of Customer service whilst always promoting Komatsu Products and Services
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to O.H.S always
  • Ability to work away remotely at the customer site
  • Have strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
