Job Description
At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.
Job Title: Product Validation Engineer II ( Solver)
Location: Noida - India
Job Overview:
Join the Test & Validation team to design and scale automated performance and accuracy validation for our CFD/thermal Solver and end-to-end workflows used in electronics cooling and data-centre simulation. You’ll work within Agile SDLC, expand regression coverage as features land, and partner with developers to ensure trustworthy physics, robust performance on HPC/Rescale, and smooth release Software rollouts.
Job Responsibilities
Own performance & accuracy suites for the mathematical Solver:
+ Create, maintain, and evolve automated tests that exercise steady-state and transient scenarios, comparing results across versions and hardware profiles (multi-core/HPC/Rescale).
+ Grow coverage as features ship: add targeted cases for airflow, temperature and heat-transfer modelling in electronics assemblies and enclosures; verify sensible results under natural/forced convection and liquid-cooling conditions.
+ Scenario libraries & data-center workflows: curate 3D and 1D flow-network cases (e.g., raised floors, external wind/humidity effects, power-network schedules, failure scenarios) to validate end-to-end platform behavior.
+ Automation & tooling: implement Python-based harnesses and automation where appropriate; integrate suites with CI; track trends and defects in JIRA.
+ Defect lifecycle: identify, minimize, and triage issues with clear details in JIRA follow through to fix and release readiness; ensure reproducibility across Windows and Linux.
+ Release & quality signals: contribute to go/no-go decisions; prepare concise internal test documentation with repeatable steps.
+ Agile collaboration: participate in sprint planning, estimation and feature/design reviews with cross-functional teams.
Job Qualifications
+ Engineering degree (Mechanical/Aerospace or similar).
+ 2+ years in an automation testing role with experience building or extending test automation frameworks (Python or equivalent).
+ Strong CFD/thermal fundamentals with hands-on validation for electronics cooling and/or data-center airflow/thermal behavior
+ Confident on Windows and Linux
+ Comfortable running jobs across multi-core/HPC clusters and Rescale
+ Practiced in Agile testing and JIRA for defect tracking.
Nice to have but not essential
+ Experience of running performance benchmarking tests on known versions.
+ Visual studio experience
+ Data center IT experience
+ ISTQB (Foundation)
