Production Assistant

Core Purpose

To provide logistical, administrative, and practical support to the production team, enabling senior crew members (like the Director, Producers, Assistant Directors, and department heads) to focus on their creative and managerial tasks without being bogged down by small details.

Key Responsibilities & Daily Tasks

The job is highly varied and can be physically demanding, with long hours. Tasks often include:

1. Pre-Production Support:

• Running errands (picking up supplies, equipment, coffee, meals).
• Distributing scripts, schedules (call sheets), and other documents.
• Assisting with office tasks: answering phones, making copies, filing.
• Preparing kits and production materials.

2. On-Set/On-Location Operations:

• Locking Down the Set: Guarding entry points to prevent unauthorized people or outside noise (like traffic) from interrupting a take. Yelling Quiet on set and Rolling
