Production Coordinator

Overview

Assists in the coordination and expediting of the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within the plant. Notifies purchasing of inventory levels and need for raw material regarding future manufacturing schedules.

Responsible for finished goods, components, and raw material inventories.

Measures production and delivery performance and regularly communicates performance results.

Responsible for generating work assignments for employees assigned to shipping and receiving.

Assists in coordinating the physical inventories and perform inventory counts.

Develops and implements improvements in shipping and material handling systems.

Communicates shipping and delivery issues to employees, managers, and customers.

Schedules and monitors the production of prototypes.

Develops programs for tracking and improving WIP inventory.
