PRODUCTION COORDINATOR, HEATSHIELD (STARSHIP)
The production coordinator ensures the on-time delivery of the heatshield for integration and testing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor, track, and move parts as required through the company to ensure timely delivery to next production locationPush/pull physical movement of parts through receiving inspection, stock rooms, purchasing, production resources or any applicable work center within SpaceXPromote workflow consistency and accuracy across the company while working to drive down internal logistics lead-timeEnsure parts are handled and protected properly and within SpaceX specificationsCoordinate off-site processing of parts to ensure on-time deliveryWork with the planning, procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure our MRP/ERP data is and remains clean and accurateAssist with resolution of incorrect system data which is driving inappropriate demand, schedules, or could result in general failureUpdate and utilize metrics to drive results as applicable with production personnelWork with production supervisors and managers to ensure all metrics-driven action requirements are completedDevelop and maintain reports to highlight needs, deliverables and constraints as required for internal and customer useAssist production leadership and project teams with action item updatesSupport logistics process through innovative staging of workflowSupport management of material certifications as required – prevent use of uncertified materialsSupport production and inventory personnel with “return to stock” and inventory purge actionsSupport purchase requisition creation for scheduled contract workOrganize and maintain the physical and electronic library for production related tooling and calibration databaseSupport projects or productivity development activities within assigned production cellsSupport assigned production cells with work order management activities BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate1+ years of experience supporting departmental administrative processes PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Strong computer skills, familiar with the full suite of MS Office productsBachelor’s degreeExperience in organizing files and documentsExperience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic manufacturing environmentsSQL and Tableau experienceAPICS certificationKnowledge of MRP/ERP systems ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Available for at least one of the following shifts: 1st shift: 6 AM to 4:30PM
3rd shift: 6 PM to 4:30 AM Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassistedAbility to stand for extended periods – 8+ hoursMust be available for overtime, all shifts, and weekend work as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility is requiredStand: Up to 6 hours per day Sit: Up to 3 hours per dayPush/Pull: Up to 75lbs. (unassisted) 2 hours or longer per day Overhead reach: Up to 1 hour per day Walk: Up to 6 hours per day Lift/Carry: Up to 50lbs. (unassisted) 2 hours or longer per day Climb (ladder/stairs): up to 1 hour per day Kneel/Crouch: up to 1 hour per day Upper body twist: Up to 6 hours per day Ability to work in temperatures over 80 degrees: 30 minutes or less per day Candidate must be capable of safely working at heights (up to 500ft), in confined spaces, using an air purifying respirator, and performing the physical requirements of the job listed in the job description.
