Role Summary – Production Head (EHV Cables | Greenfield Plant)

• The role is for a Production Head to lead a greenfield EHV cable manufacturing plant based at Halol. This is Polycab’s first EHV cable facility, being set up to cater to the power and power transmission sector.

• The incumbent will head three key departments—Conductor, Insulation, and downstream processes—and manage an overall workforce of approximately 500 employees. The Production Head will work closely with the project team (currently 4–5 members, expanding to 7–8 members) to commission and stabilize the plant.
   
• The plant is expected to be fully operational by October, followed by partial ramp-up over the next five months, with a projected annual turnover of ~1,200 crore. This is a single-plant operation with EHV capability, incorporating VCV line technology, currently limited in India to players such as Universal Cables and Finale. (KEC operates using a different technology.)
   
• The role reports to the Plant Head and will be responsible for setting up robust manufacturing systems, processes, and culture in line with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices, which are mandatory.
   
• The ideal candidate must come exclusively from the cable industry, with strong hands-on experience in EHV cable manufacturing. Candidates from organizations such as Ducab, Oman Cables, Universal Cables, Finolex, or similar global cable manufacturers are preferred. Indian nationals currently settled overseas may also be considered.

Candidates with a degree or diploma can be evaluated, provided they possess deep domain experience in EHV cables and large-scale manufacturing setups.

Compensation:
CTC up to 70 LPA, depending on experience and fit.
