Production Machine Operator

A recognized leader in the art and framing industry, is seeking a Line Operator for our Production department for our facility in Wheeling, IL.

The primary function of the Line Operator will be performing one of our positions on our matboard laminator.

Below are the basic duties and responsibilities for this job:

Must read and follow written and verbal instructions

Review work orders with entire liner crew and verify loading of runs

Keep all crew members notified of any production changes

Must be able to operate basic material handling equipment

Help keep the line clean and free of debris

Assist machine operators with splices and roll alignments

Inspect raw materials, notify supervisor if problems are seen

Follow all safety rule and practices including lockout/tagout program

Prep raw material rolls for manufacturing (remove outer packaging, shaft rolls)

Qualifications & Requirements

Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred;

Stable work history and good attendance record;

Attention to detail and a focus on producing quality product;

Must be a quick learner

Must be mechanically inclined

Ability to lift 50 lbs

The ability to work with others in a team environment with minimal supervision;

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions;

Willingness to learn, including cross-training and filling in other positions as needed;

Professional attitude and good communication skills
