About the Role:

The role will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules to ensure the timely processing and supply of seafood products in line with sales orders, inventory levels, and operational capacity. This role plays a key part in optimizing production efficiency, minimizing waste, and support in end-to-end supply chain planning.

The position will be Permanent Full-Time role based in our processing facility in Canning Vale, WA. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and processing capacity.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and packaging supplies.
  • Schedule production runs to meet customer delivery timelines while optimising labour, machinery, and storage utilisation.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders i.e., Processing, Dispatch, Purchasing, QA and Sales Teams.
  • Monitor work orders, yields, and throughput to adjust plans as needed for operational variances or supply disruptions.
  • Track and analyse production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or areas for process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, order changes, and material usage.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in production planning, inventory control, and waste reduction.
  • Communicate plan updates, changes, and priorities to Production Supervisors and relevant departments daily.

Experience and Skills:

  • 3 years+ experience in production planning or scheduling, ideally within seafood, FMCG, or food manufacturing.
  • Degree in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Operations Management or equivalent
  • Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and food industry compliance requirements.
  • Full, Unrestricted Australian working rights
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production planning software tools.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and influencing skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple production demands.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality assurance principles.
