Responsibilities

Master production schedule: Plan, prepare, maintain, and report on performance of the master schedule.

Responsible for demand/sales forecasts in the ERP or MRP system for use in the planning process.

Capacity requirements plan: Create and maintain a valid capacity requirements plan that supports the master schedule.

Inventory: Establish and adjust safety stock levels for finished goods.

Prepare run out analyses for discontinued items and coordinate an exit strategy with material planners and purchasing.

Scheduling processes: Establish evaluation and maintain production scheduling processes and formal master schedule review and signoff process.

Reporting: Development, maintenance and communication of key performance indicators that are consistent with executive strategies and plant-level performance measures.
