Production Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Comply with the procedures defined in the Quality System, Company Policies and Mexican Labor Law.
• Supervise hiring, training and performance monitoring of General Production Supervisors.
• Meet production schedule within Efficiency and yields Goals interfacing with support departments.
• Responsible for keep the security and house-keeping in the Production Areas.
• Responsible for the identification, traceability and status of the materials (raw material and Finished Product).
• Elaboration of reports requested by Manufacturing Manager.
• Coordinate the activities with the General Production Supervisors to ensure that jobs are processed in a timely manner.
• Ensure accuracy of labor usage reports.
• Supervise the correct use of installations and equipment in the plant.
• Report unsafe conditions.
• Ensure that all production personnel are property trained.
• Integrate efforts across the company to ensure a focused and consistent approach for optimizing and standardizing processes.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare and/or edit meeting minutes and presentations.
• Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.
• Perform special projects as requested.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Senior Production Supervisor or Production Superintendent in the medical, aerospace or automotive industry.
• Bachelor degree: Engineering
• Have the ability to communicate and establish professional and effective interaction with co-workers, subordinates, Engineering and Quality Assurance.
• Experience to design and implement Productivity metrics such as Efficiency (min/unit), Yield, Job order scrap, Job Order material variance.
• Experience to Implement Visual Factory Program in which KPIs are displayed on a factory floor to provide clear, visible objectives to the front line employees.
• Ability in handling documentation and manufacturing drawings.
• Good Spanish and English, written and oral communication skills.
