Professional Developer (Literacy)

Description of Primary Duties

This Professional Developer will provide support for Kindergarten through 5th grade educators in developing knowledge of and implementing evidence-based reading instruction. The Professional Developer will provide a tailored approach that includes high-quality, job-embedded professional development focusing on evidence-based instruction aligned with the science of reading to those schools assigned through the CLSD grant program.

Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS) trained and experience with the science of reading and associated instruction, intervention, and assessment practices will be given consideration.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Education: A Masters degree in the field of Education from an accredited four-year college or University is required.
