As a member of the Professional Services team, the Solution Architect is responsible for the integrity of the architecture, functional solution design, and technical development and is ultimately responsible for the delivery of high-quality solutions to our customers. The Solution Architect is also responsible for mentoring consultants and as a resource for other Solution Architects coming up-to-speed on the Tungsten Automation Corporation suite of products and the implementation process.
As a member of the Solution Architecture group, the Solution Architect needs to be able to notice trends across customer implementations to then help improve the implementation process by creating re-usable assets and refining the implementation processes.
Solution Architects are also responsible for working across the global Tungsten Automation Professional Services & Technical Support organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the integrity of the solution design, development and quality of assigned projects meeting the business needs of the client and Tungsten Automation Corporation implementation standardsOwn resolution of technical and product issues on assigned projects from initial point of engagement through go-live of the solutionEnsure best practices and consistent delivery approaches are utilized on assigned projectsProvide input to Project Managers on project planning and estimating efforts for each assigned projectDrive to structure work and produce deliverables that align with the scope and budget of projectsStructuring and driving design reviewsEnsure all projects utilize development standardsParticipate in the development of solutions conceived, driven and owned by Professional ServicesCreate high quality solution design and design documentationPresent, articulate and defend the design orally, visually and in writing to clientsTranslate client requirements (sometimes creatively) into the current available product and determine where gaps may existManage client expectations related to the design to reach successful client sign-offConduct code reviews where appropriateProvide oversight to Consultants to ensure all project work is consistent with the solution design and Tungsten Automation Corporation implementation standardsProvide guidance and mentorship to all levels of Consultants and Solution Architects in technical and product knowledgeEffectively manage time across multiple concurrent projectsParticipate in identifying and creating re-usable assets to improve efficiency and consistency of delivery across projects.Provide input to Project Managers for project planning and estimating efforts on project based on varying project resource skillsCommunicate the risks and benefits of design/architectural options to an audience with diverse technical backgroundsAssist in business development efforts in terms of solution definition scope and estimation efforts, where appropriate Required Skills
10+ years of solution development experienceStrong written communication, clear verbal communication and presentation skills to enable interactions with a global employee and customer baseMultiple language skills are a plus (E.g., French, German, Dutch, etc.) Able to effectively communicate and guide clients to desired outcomesAbility to lead senior Consultants and junior ConsultantsAbility to work in a communication-rich team environmentUnderstanding of the overall project plan and specific scope of projectsAbility to see the big picture when making decisions and able to estimate effort for implementation tasksStrong technical implementation skillsSolid documentation skillsAble to assist in business development activities including supporting definition of scope and estimationProven track record of delivering projects on time and within budgetAbility to work alternative shift and client hours when necessaryAbility to travel to customer project locations as needed Required Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or related Degree is a plusExperience with Tungsten Automation Corporation products or equivalent products from both a functional and technical perspectiveExperience designing solutions leveraging Tungsten Automation Corporation or equivalent products3-5 years experience successfully implementing Tungsten Automation Corporation or equivalent products3-5 years experience in solution architect roleDemonstrated knowledge of key architectural components (e.g., cloud, data base, network, integrations, etc.)Experience with defining scope and estimation of proposed workDemonstrated ability to identify and create reusable assetsAbility to lead a client and project team through a functional and technical design processAble to accurately estimate tasks and activities within the project for themselves and othersHas shown proficiency in clearly and accurately communicating the current functionality of the products in the specified Solution Area to clients and project teamHas shown to effectively fit the client requirements into the available product configurations with the least amount of client-specific customization possibleHas proven to be able to work effectively at all levels of the Professional Services group and across departments such as Technical Support, Product Development, etc.Able to effectively mentor junior resources Tungsten Automation Corporation, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Disability/Vets
