Job Title: Professor / Associate Professor

Department: Physiotherapy


Position Overview:


The Professor will be integral in teaching, research, and service within the department. The role encompasses delivering educational content, conducting pertinent research, and providing service to the department.


Key Responsibilities:


Teaching:

  • Instruct in the areas of Physiotherapy at various academic levels.
  • Create and maintain course materials and curricula.
  • Evaluate students’ assignments and performance.


Research:

  • Perform research in Physiotherapy, targeting publication in acclaimed journals.
  • Seek external funding to facilitate research activities.
  • Essential 10 publications


Mentorship:

  • Provide academic and career mentorship to students.
  • Oversee student projects and research efforts.


Service:

  • Engage in departmental and university service, including committee participation.
  • Community and Industry Engagement.
  • Partner with industry and community stakeholders to foster collaborative initiatives.


Experience:

  • 10 years total experience including 5 years experience as Associate Professor Physiotherapy


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. In any discipline in Physiotherapy recognised by U.G.C.
  • Masters in Physiotherapy (M.P.T./ M.P.Th/M.Th.P/ MSc. PT)
  • Demonstrable ability or potential for research and teaching excellence.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • A track record of publications in academic journals.
  • Experience in securing research funding.
  • Relevant industry experience in Physiotherapy.

Position - DEMONSTRATOR (PHYSIOTHERAPY)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments and implement physiotherapy treatment in the Physiotherapy OPD in the KRMU campus.
  • Assist faculty members in practical physiotherapy laboratory classes.
  • Develop and maintain teaching materials e.g. lab manuals and handouts.
  • Provide clinical training to students posted in the OPD.
  • Conduct health camps in the neighboring areas.
  • Co-ordinate with our MoU partners for training BPT students.
  • Accompany and guide students during sports and other events requiring physiotherapy services.
  • Maintain documentation related to OPD and laboratories.

Qualification

  • BPT from a recognized University
  • Registration with HSCP is mandatory (should have applied for registration by the date of joining)

Skills Required

  • Preferred- 2 years’ clinical experience.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as a part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centric approach
  • Strong academic background
