**Direct trainee support (50%)** :
+ Providing assistance with recruiting new applicants
+ Onboard new applicants into the KU HR system and the NIH portal
+ Provide academic advising for trainees, including an understanding of degree requirements at KU and at Haskell
+ Provide support for the trainee research experiences: identifying a research track and mentor, navigating the research experience, and disseminating research results – including science communication and poster preparation

+ Developing events and activities that align with the program goals and objectives.
