Program Leader – Summer Day Camp

Do you have an interest in leading safe, fun and quality recreation programs for children, youth and families? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the Parks, Recreation and Culture department.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a variety of social, cultural, sport, fitness and general interest activities in a day camp setting.

Direct volunteers and assistants, providing guidance and assistance, and perform general leadership duties.

Prioritize safety by enforcing rules and regulations regarding proper use of equipment and facilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 11.
• Related experience in municipal recreational work, coaching, camp counselling, Scouts, Guides, tutoring or volunteering in a recreation or childcare environment.
• Some supervisory experience or equivalent combination of training and experience. <...
