Program Manager/ Lead Enterprise and Digital Excellence Group Centre of Excellence (GCOE)

The Group Centre of Excellence (Group COE) team has been established with a Vision to drive transformation across the Biocon Group by adopting a lean culture enabling continuous improvement, enhancing efficiency, productivity, agility, and being world class to serve patients affordably. The key intent is to create, pilot and integrate all initiatives that deliver Enterprise Excellence (EE) across the Group Companies under one overarching umbrella framework enhancing cross-functional collaboration with a common strategic direction. This role will provide the opportunity to be part of group-wide initiatives at a Global level.

Job Summary

The Program Management Lead Enterprise and Digital Excellence Initiatives is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing internally developed organizational excellence programs similar to Malcolm Baldrige (MBNQA), European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), etc., and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) certifications. This role ensures smooth end-to-end management of multiple initiatives, training logistics, assessments, project defences, certification processes, and procurement coordination. This role will work closely with trainers, participants, mentors, evaluators and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and high-quality program execution aligned with organizational goals for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Excellence Program Management

• Administer Assessor Certification Workshops, including nomination rollout, session scheduling, and post-workshop certification.
• Coordinate Awareness Sessions—manage nominations, assessments, and certification communication.
• Support the Assessment process by collecting SBU- and function-wise applications, preparing schedules, mapping assessors, and following up for data submissions, reports and result declarations.
• Organize for Reward & Recognition during Award Functions

2. Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Program Management (White Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, Master Black Belt)

• Manage end-to-end nomination process and training logistics such as venue and attendance for all LSS levels, including batch scheduling and confirmation.
• Liaise with trainers for content sharing, assessments, and evaluation results and follow-up with participants for exercise, quiz, and assessment submissions.
• Support project defence process by coordinating mentor/mentee mapping, reviewer identification, scheduling, and result consolidation.
• Organize for Reward & Recognition during Award Functions

3. Procurement & Vendor Coordination

• Coordination with vendor for procurement, onboarding and documentation for various initiatives.
• Generate and track Purchase Requests (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), and Service Entries.
• Prepare and process Bill Forward Notes (BFNs), ensuring timely submission to finance and support reservations, and financial reconciliations.

4. Financial Tracking & General Administration

• Monitor and update program budgets, consumption, and variances monthly.
• Prepare periodic reports and dashboards for management review.
• Circulate promotional content and communication materials for program awareness.

Experience / Skills:

o 4-6 years of relevant work experience

o Expert in advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and other Office Applications.

o Exposure to other Data mining & Visualization applications and Statistical Software Applications will be an added advantage

o Has a flair for artistic, colourful presentations with ability to craft succinct messaging.

o Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English

o Adequate interpersonal skills to work with and influence key stakeholders across the Group.

o Problem-solving abilities and a can-do-attitude

o Confident and a proactive self-starter

Education:

o Bachelor’s / master’s degree in science, engineering, or business.

o Pharma Domain Knowledge is desirable but not necessary

o Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification with Black Belt Trained/ Certification will be an added advantage

o Exposure of Internal Business Excellence Frameworks will be an added advantage
