This position is open to work with our sister concern Perkins&Will , a globally recognized, multi-disciplinary architecture and design firm headquartered in Chicago, USA. The firm provides integrated planning, design, and project management services across sectors including aviation, transportation, urban infrastructure, commercial, healthcare, education, and mixed-use developments.

Responsibilities


  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the design process and project complexities to proactively contribute to overall project success, while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, project management, execution, and Living Design.
  • Understands and responds effectively to technical implications, design decisions, and project financial objectives.
  • Coordinates the development of project documentation, including the production of deliverable drawings and specifications.
  • Reviews deliverables at each project phase to ensure compliance with firm standards, contractual requirements, and design intent, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, legibility, completeness, and constructability.
  • Addresses Quality Control review comments at all phases and manages project Quality Assurance in alignment with Perkins&Will standards.
  • Leads project coordination efforts across internal disciplines (architecture, interior design, landscape architecture) and collaborates with external consultants.
  • Communicates with clients on technical and project-related matters.
  • Manages regulatory reviews, including building code, accessibility, and zoning requirements, and coordinates submissions with authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Leads construction contract administration activities, including submittal and RFI review, field observations, reporting, and project closeout.
  • Maintains awareness of evolving building technologies and engineering systems relevant to project work.
  • Contributes to marketing efforts, including proposal development and participation in interviews.
  • Actively participates in design reviews, charrettes, and pin-ups.
  • Demonstrates strong communication, decision-making, and collaborative skills that foster high-performing teams.
  • Mentors and supports the professional development of team members


Proficiencies


  • Knowledge of building, zoning, energy, and accessibility codes
  • Site analysis and due diligence
  • Preliminary and schematic design studies

Software Skills


  • Advanced proficiency in Revit
  • Conceptual and computational modeling tools such as Rhino , including Grasshopper scripting
  • Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365
  • Adobe Creative Cloud , including presentation tools such as InDesign and Photoshop
  • Visualization tools such as Enscape, Lumion, and V-Ray
  • Physical modeling tools including 3D printing and laser cutting


Licensure / Certifications / Education

  • LEED Green Associate (LEED GA) certification required within six months of hire .
  • Professional accreditation in at least one Living Design discipline of interest, such as:
  • LEED AP with Specialty
  • BREEAM AP
  • WELL AP
  • SITES AP
  • Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer (CPHC/CPHD)
  • ILFI Living Future Accreditation
  • Architectural license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related discipline required
