Project Coordinator
A large Queensland Government division is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support the investigation, planning and delivery of improvement initiatives across a school facilities operations function. This role focuses on coordinating projects that enhance frontline service delivery, uplift processes and support consistent operational outcomes across a diverse portfolio.
You’ll work closely with facilities advisors, senior leaders and internal stakeholders to drive project delivery, improve ways of working and ensure initiatives are implemented effectively and on time. This is a hands-on coordination role suited to someone who enjoys structure, stakeholder engagement and turning ideas into practical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyse operational requirements and project opportunities across facilities operations teams.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring alignment with agreed objectives and timelines.
- Support the development, review and implementation of improved processes and procedures within the immediate team and related functions.
- Maintain project documentation including plans, schedules, risk registers and progress reports.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities to ensure clarity of objectives, roles and delivery expectations.
- Identify risks and issues, escalate where required and propose practical mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by evaluating project outcomes and recommending enhancements to practices and processes.
About You You are an organised and proactive project professional with experience coordinating initiatives in complex operational environments. You bring strong planning skills, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. You’re comfortable juggling multiple priorities, analysing information and supporting change that improves frontline service delivery.
Requirements of the Role Essential
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination or project support roles.
- Strong organisational, planning and time management skills.
- Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience maintaining project documentation and reporting.
Highly Desirable
- Experience working in government, education or facilities operations environments.
- Exposure to process improvement or change initiatives.
- Familiarity with project management tools and Microsoft business systems.
Other
- Interstate travel will be required.
- A current Blue Card is mandatory.

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
