Responsibilities

The Project Cost Controller will act as a key on-site resource ensuring cost discipline through proactive solutions and real-time implementation. This role demands strong technical expertise, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to manage costs effectively during project execution.


On-Ground Cost Control & Implementation

  • Drive cost control measures at the site level, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
  • Implement corrective actions immediately when deviations occur, working with project teams and vendors.

Solution Orientation

  • Identify cost risks early and propose practical solutions to mitigate overruns.
  • Optimize resource utilization and procurement strategies in collaboration with SCM and project managers.

Real-Time Monitoring & Reporting

  • Maintain live dashboards and cost trackers for accurate visibility.
  • Provide actionable insights to management for decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with SCM for vendor negotiations and cost optimization.
  • Work with PMC and cost consultants for benchmarking and validation of estimates.
  • Support project managers in evaluating cost impact of design or scope changes.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to financial controls and statutory requirements.
  • Facilitate audits and provide documentation for cost-related reviews.

  • Proficiency in cost management tools and ERP systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil, Mechanical)
  • Master of Engineering (Civil, Mechanical)/ MBA for reputed institutes

Experience

  • 8-10+ years with projects experience
  • Working on large scale projects
