About the Role
We are open to hiring this role at a manager or director level, depending on experience.
The Project Director will be an expert with the Workday Deployment Methodology with experience in leading HR transformation and/or Finance Transformation in customer. They will lead mid to large deployments and resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. They will also support executive level expectations by providing internal suggestions to management, based on field experience, as to how to potentially enhance the Workday Deployment Methodology.
Ensuring the successful implementation of the Workday product on some of our largest projects is a critical aspect of this opportunity. You will drive the client implementation and will be involved in the development of several key project results (e.g., charter, project/staffing plan, issue logs, etc.) and partnering with the Client project manager to resolve issues that stand in the way of project success. You will also be responsible for leading to the agreed upon budget and delivering the project profitably. As a Project Director, you will provide advice, direction and mentorship to Workday Deployment Partner Project Directors and Project Managers in the area of Workday deployments.
What you’ll be doing:
Part of extended India GTM Leadership team as well as APAC Global Services
Project lead on one or more Workday product implementations concurrently, including oversight and advisor to customers on Partner-led deployments
Ensure the project is successfully delivered within the budget and time outlined in the SOW
Participate in India GTM and overall sales cycle when requested to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach and develop a proposal/SOW with AE/ RSD and cross functional leadership team in India and across APAC
Provide guidance and mentoring to Global Services resources working on our implementations in India or select APAC strategic engagements
Drive collaboration between Customer, India GTM teams and Global Services teams, including CX to leverage - right offerings and services jointly with India Services Executive and GTM teams as well as our Partner Ecosystem in India/ APAC
Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed
Identify all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframes
Work with EMs, Functional and Technical consultants from Global Shared Services, APAC Global Services as well as Global SMEs to provide right level of oversight and compliance with agreed to checkpoints
Present and represent Workday Services at Executive Steering Committee meetings
Be a liaison for Global Services when interacting with sales and/or business development along with Service Executive for India
Find opportunities to position broader CX service offerings
Assist in the transition of the customer from Sales to Services to broader CX teams including Product Support, WSP.
Drive commercial rigor with Customers - Own Change Order process, Revenue forecasting as well as operating within guardrails of our SoW commitments to customers
Majority of the focus will be on India projects and engagements, but will be required to lean in and support some strategic APAC customers
Focus on India Customer Health and collaborate with extended CX teams to drive adoption with a services lens
About You
Basic Qualifications
Proven experience of project leading Medium and/or Large Enterprise HR and/or Finance ERP implementations
15+ years experience implementing Workday, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft, PeopleSoft, Ultimate, Lawson or a similar application.
Other Qualifications
Proven ability to learn and amplify our value proposition for our customers
Previous Engagement Management/ Project Management in SaaS/ ERP/ service sales experience is a plus. Successful candidates have a balance of functional (business) and technical experience, right balance in delivery as well as commercial foresight
Prior consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company.
Willingness to ‘roll up one’s sleeves’ and assist wherever needed.
Capacity to develop strong interpersonal relationships to inspire positive change, cultivate team collaboration and persuading collaborators to support strategic decisions.
Expertise in risk management, strategic planning and operational efficiency.
Strong situational awareness, enabling proactive identification of potential issues and opportunities to advise effective decision-making.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to identify root causes, apply effective communication strategies, and implement appropriate resolution techniques to nurture a positive and productive work environment.
