Responsibilities
in this position will include:- Performing engineering design of roadway projects for state and local DOTs including horizontal and vertical geometry, corridor modeling including roadside design, pavement design, drainage systems, utility coordination, signing and marking, and erosion and sedimentation control.
- Preparing plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and calculations necessary for a complete deliverable package to the client.
- Coordinating design with other disciplines and subconsultants.
- Interacting with the design team, clients, and project stakeholders.
- Mentoring and training younger engineers on roadway design.
- Supporting the Senior Project Engineer during Bid Phase and Construction including answering Requests for Information (RFI), preparing addenda and plan revisions.
