Job Purpose

This position is responsible for being the technical lead for installs and upgrades of AHS systems.

Installs, supports and customises Modular products to meet the scope of the project as defined by the customer.

Travel Requirements

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute AHS projects and AHS product deployments to ensure quality and value in use is delivered to the customer as per the SOW (Scope of Works).
  • Works closely with Komatsu Australia Project Managers to implement Frontrunner and Dispatch systems at customer sites.
  • Escalates issues to the Komatsu Australia Project Manager, Regional Manager – Autonomous Systems and AHS Operations Supervisor which may impede or affect the successful execution of the project as soon as practicable.
  • Provides troubleshooting and diagnosis of root cause system issues during installs and deployments by supporting, training and coaching engineers (Product Engineer – Level ii – Autonomous Systems) involved in the project.
  • Provide support and advice to users internally and externally whilst at AHS mine sites.
  • Capturing and documenting opportunities for continuous improvements (CI) through the development of materials such as reports, manuals, presentation and process maps for internal training.
  • Manage and maintain local simulation environment with the latest versions of Frontrunner and Dispatch, ensuring the needs of the AHS Operations Supervisor are covered.
  • Attends meetings with internal and external customers regularly.
  • Ad hoc projects as required.

    • Required Skills

  • Understanding of project methodology.
  • Sound knowledge on a specific Modular products – FMS/AHS
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining, Engineering, IT or related field.
  • Sound knowledge of mining operations – AHS preferred.
